Looks like the ranks are starting to fill. Keep up the work. DarkOmen is slaving away at the new site.

Gentlemen,

It has been a month since I last edited this Order of Battle. Many things have happened in that month, and many things have not happened in that month. Such as, certain Generals who were recruited, not showing any activity, registering on our website, posting on our website, entering in battles, and so on. I have edited the Order of Battle, and added the current state of command for each General. Those listed as "inactive" will be removed within (5) days of May 28th, 2006, if I am not contacted before then. Those listed as "somewhat active" will be removed within (10) days of May 28th, 2006, if I am not contacted before then. If you are just busy at the moment and cannot participate, but would like to stay in the clan because you will do battle soon, then you will need to contact me and I will issue a "furlough" to you. Those of you who would like to join afresh, then go to our website: www.theluckyfewhq.com and register on the forums, and request a command. Feel free to drop by our Chat, we are usually in the "General Chat". And for those who were removed, but would like to come back with a fresh commitment, then follow the instructions just listed above. It grieves me to relieve some of you Generals, but your current state of inactiveness shows that I must do it.

I would like to thank the following Generals for their "activeness", and "participation" in the doings of the clan:

Dark Omen (Jackson)
Chris G. (Ewell)
Stonewall Jackson (Jones)

Major General Christian B (Pope)
Col. Bartoni (McDowell)
Col. Elward (Heintzelman)
140th PA (Lincoln)

Keep it up sirs, and may you be a bright shining example!

Most Respectfully,
General Lee
Commanding, ANV

It's an unfortunate necessity.

Fellas and all active participants of the Lucky Few,

This is a great effort on your part to make something from nothing (no actual MP yet but ya'll are still making a go of it). That's the spirit and initiative that Norb & I love! I think you guys rock! When we get MP in what you've done here will be the BOMB and will be very popular...so don't get discouraged. Remember, MP is very much a part of our future...make no doubt about it!

Perhaps, as thanks, we'll open up the MP testing only to the active particpants who have made such a dedicated effort to make this go....that's gotta be a pretty good incentive to "soldier on"!

Hang in there...MMG will not forget your efforts here!

Adam,
This site is a constant work in progress. The clan is coming up with different ideas to play around with. The one that we are using right now is an active play by email. Individuals set a time to meet on the chatroom that we have. They then decide who will command cetain commanders. They then take turns emailing the saved game to the next individual to let him take command of his units and move them where desired. Somebody has even started using a realtime mapping program to give orders. Players post screenshots, and then the commander updates the map giving new orders to all commanders in real time. We also have another system that we are working on, but we want to wait for the website OOB site to be completed before we start using that system. We welcome anyone who is interested or has any other great ideas to play around with. In the end this is a site for guys that love the Civil War and Take Command. If there are ever any questions about the site, or if you would like to use our site for anything please let us know. The people that are working the site are Myself (The Man with the money and admin lol) Dark Omen (Webmaster).

That's cool.

I just want the MMG website to either host or be very close in association to the MP community so we can make a strong foundation for what we want to explore/expand upon in MP. I want to have a close group of guys that we can work with to test...and I want the MMG site to be a central place for coordinating MP stuff...somehow..someway...just not sure how! Wink

Adam,

I think of this SP/MP community (The Lucky Few Clan), as a creative extension of the MMG website, and a site to generate MP ideas for MMG while playing as a clan. As a matter of fact, I would be honored to be part of any testing group that would further the Take Command Series, and have fun doing it.
